Rajasthan: Officials reported on Saturday that the Rajasthan Police’s intelligence wing had arrested two men for allegedly spying for Pakistan.
The two accused are identified as Kuldeep Singh Shekhawat, 24, of Jaipur, and Narayan Lal Gadri, 27, of Bhilwara. Both were interrogated jointly by Rajasthan’s Intelligence Agencies.
According to officials, Narayan Lal supplied Indian SIM cards to the Pakistani agents for operating social media accounts. While working as a salesperson in a liquor shop in pali, Shekhawat maintained communication with the Pakistani woman agent.
Director General of Intelligence claimed that Kuldeep Singh Shekhawat was running several social media accounts in the name of an Army officer, and made friends with Army jawans on social media, following he extracted information from them. In exchange for spying and assisting their Pakistani agents, the pair, according to the director, was receiving money.
Director General of Intelligence stated separate cases have been filed against them in accordance with the appropriate IPC, Official Secrets Act, and Information Technology Act provisions.
According to reports, Narayan Lal will soon appear in court on charges related to the Official Secrets Act 192 of the Indian Penal Code. More information is being investigated.
