Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh: A video of some unidentified individuals drinking alcohol and cooking meat at a Gaushala in Madhya Pradesh has prompted authorities to initiate a probe. The incident is reported to have occurred on Monday night in the Tikamgarh district of MP. However, there has been no legal complaint filed at the nearest PS yet.

A three-member committee has been constituted which will submit the report on 27th July, based on which further action will be taken. Reportedly, the Bajrang Dal activists on receiving information of the activity rushed to the spot to find the accused fleeing away.

In the video, some 15 people are seen consuming alcohol and cooking meat on the premises of Ram Harshan Gaushala of Chandrapura village. Preliminary investigation reveals that the host who belonged to the Ahirwar community threw the party as a reform. It is being learnt that he was ostracised by his own people and was ordered to host a party as a means of punishment.

The cow shed was built last year at a cost of Rd 35 Lakh and is being run by Ram Harshad group of former Sarpanch Meera Tiwari. At present, there are 70 cows in the shed.
