Washington: The 79 year old President of the nation trying to pull off its straps from coronavirus, returned positive on Thursday. Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, said in a statement that Mr. Biden had “tested positive for Covid-19. He is fully vaccinated and twice boosted and experiencing very mild symptoms.”
The president is receiving Paxlovid, an antiviral drug used to minimize the severity of Covid-19, Ms Pierre said adding that he will continue to perform his duties whilst isolating at White House.
Earlier today, videos of US president Joe Biden saying “I have cancer” had gone viral on social media. In the video from Massachusetts, Biden was seen saying “…That’s why I and so many people I grew up with have cancer”. The statement took the internet while he wqs speaking about oil pollution in his home state of Delaware.
Washington Post’s Glen Kessler stated that the medical report submitted before Biden became President mentioned that he had non-melanoma skin cancers removed. Kessler stated that it is a common procedure.
