New Delhi: India recorded 13,615 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.50 per cent accounted for 13,265 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,29,96,427. The daily positivity rate stood at 3.23 per cent.
The number of active cases stood at 1,31,043 accounting for 0.30 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported an increase of 330 in the last 24 hours.
However, the mortality rate stood at 1.20 per cent recorded 20 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,25,474. With the administration of 10.64 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 199 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
According to the health ministry, 5,05,98,553 beneficiaries have been administered the precautionary dose. Under the 12+ vaccination program, more than 3.75 Cr (3,75,56,269) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. In the past 24 hours, around 4,21,292 infected samples were tested which took the total test count to 86.73 crore.
