Ambikapur: In a bizarre incident in the Ambikapur district of Chhattisgarh, 3 COVID-infected children ran away from isolation wards in a Juvenile home on Friday. In a COVID-19 drive carried out at the juvenile home, a total of 12 children and 2 staff members were reportedly found positive and were isolated as per the norms.
The local Police have been informed and one kid has already been detained from Ajirma village and sent back to the juvenile home. The search for the rest is on sources in the know said. The 3 delinquents fled away from the ward by breaking the bathroom grill.
Meanwhile, guidelines have already been issued to take special care at juvenile homes and other places where isolation wards have been set up. Shama Noori, in charge of the Children’s observation home, gave the information about absconding children.
