Shimla: At least four- six people are feared missing, 2 injured and 1 died after a cloud burst caused landslide followed by flash flooding in the , Chojh Village, Dhalli-Tuttikandi bypass in Shimla on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at 6 am on Wednesday morning, State Disaster Management Director Sudesh Mokhta said pressing the reporters. As per initial reports, a 14-year-old girl died of multiple injuries. The girl was said to have been sleeping outside the tent while three others inside, sustained injuries when the boulders fell on them. Two vehicles parked near the landslide site were completely damaged. Locals also claim a few camping sites were also washed away with the gush of water in the Parvati river in spate. 

The bridge connecting the village also reported to have been damaged. Commercial outlets around the bridge were also washed away in the flood, sources in the know said citing information from the Kullu District Emeregency Operations Centre.

The search and rescue operation is underway. So far 30 workers stuck at a power project are rescued, the SDRF director said.
