Indore: The city of Indore has been ranked as the cleanest city of India for the fifth time in a row by the Ministry of Urban Development.

QA team from the concerned Ministry under the leadership of Joint Secretary of Urban Development Ministry paid a visit to the city on Saturday to get a close insight of this cleanest city.

QJoint Secretary, Shyam S Dubey explored the city and came across a number of aspects and parameters of cleanliness in the city. He further inspected the tapping provisions in Indore along with the garbage landfill site (Trenching Ground).

Indore has topped the list of India’s cleanest cities owing to its cultural heritage and architectural designs standing tall in a fresh and hygienic atmosphere. The garbage free roads along with the development of many IT and business industries have created another surge of reforms. Indore serves large number of visitors nearly every month.

The second spot in the list is bagged by yet another pollution- free charming city of Surat which is known for its vibrant nature and superb hospitality to the tourists.
