The B town has another negative news to digest; this time with Swara Bhasker. Known for her blunt remarks on social and political matters, Swara Bhasker approached Mumbai Police with an anonymous letter threatening her life.
Swara Bhasker received a death threat through a letter at her Versova located residence. On receiving a complaint from the actress, Mumbai Police ordered a probe into the matter on Wednesday. A non-cognizable offence against unidentified people has been booked at the Versova Police Station.
The letter is filled with abuses and is handwritten in Hindi, warning Swara a warning after she expressed her views on Twitter on Veer Savarkar. The letter further mentions that the youth of this country won’t in any way tolerate the insult of Veer Savarkar and is undersigned as ‘Is desh ke naujawan’.
The matter relates to 2017 when Swara in her tweet said that Savarkar apologised to the British Government.
Meanwhile, last month Salman Khan also received a death threat through an anonymous letter while he was on a morning walk with his father. The matter was also reported to the police and the investigation is underway.
