Raipur: Citing the rise in the number of physical and mental illnesses including stress, insufficient sleep, depression, restless mind, and pain in various areas of body parts which have an adverse effect on the physical health, such clinics will be operated on Thursday across the state.

This special OPD will be conducted in the co-established AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, and Homeopathy) centers University hospitals operating in state’s every Government Homeopathic dispensaries, District Ayurvedic Hospital, Ayush Polytechnic, AYUSH wing, Specialised therapy centre, Speciality clinic, and Primary health centres.

9078 elderly people were treated free of cost across the state. 108 in Sian Jatan Clinics of two Ayurveda Medical Colleges organized by AYUSH, 177 in five District Ayurveda Hospitals, 350 in Specialized Therapy Centers, 238 in AYUSH Wings, 167 in AYUSH Polyclinics, 6080 in Dispensaries and Community and Primary Health Centers.

Treatment was provided to 1958 elderly people in co-established AYUSH centres. Considering the significance of mental health, timely intervention by the health department has been started and therefore treatments of diseases and disorders including physical and mental health problems will be cured through AYUSH.
