Bhilai: The body of a missing woman was discovered by a Municipal corporation employee in a sewage line that he was cleaning. Reportedly, the sewage cleaner while cleaning the sewer lines of Sulabh toilets found the body and informed the police immediately.
As per preliminary investigations, it is learnt that the deceased lady was Bhawna Sahu, who was missing for the past three-four days. The 40-year-old was a native of Gurur, Balod and was currently living in Newai Station Maroda.
The police on enquiry identified the body and engaged a forensic team for the post-mortem. According to the forensic officials, the woman had injuries all over the body, especially the head. It is being suspected that the lady was first killed, sacked and then dumped into the gutter.
However, no concrete evidence has been gathered yet. Police wait for the forensic reports to identify the cause of death.
