Neemuch: A murder case has been registered in Neemuch District after a missing old mentally disabled man was found dead. A video has been making rounds on social media where a man is seen asking the deceased if his name is Mohammed and is seen repeatedly assaulting him as he struggled to answer. The case was registered after the body of the 60-year-old man was found on Friday morning on Rampura Road under the jurisdiction of Manasa police station, 38 km from the district headquarters, following which was handed over to the family for cremation.

The attacker in the video is identified as Dinesh Kushwaha and named the main accused. Kushwaha is the husband of a former BJP Corporator according to sources. The elderly man petrified by the questions offers the attacker money which further infuriates him and he slaps the senior citizen non-stop on his head and ears.

The victim aged 60 years, Bhanwarlal Jain hailed from Sarsi in Ratlam district and went missing on May 15th. As per preliminary investigations, he was last seen at a religious event in Rajasthan. Following this, a missing complaint was lodged and the police were put to work. Shortly after the video emerged, the family rushed to the police station and demanded immediate arrest. After the video surfaced, The police registered a case under Sections 302 (murder) and 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC, and launched a probe.
