Khargone: The man who shot SP Siddarth Chaudary, in the communal clashes during Ram Navmi in Khargone was arrested on Friday, the police said.
The accused resident of muba Wali Gali, Sanjay Nagar, was nabbed from Kasrawad town in Khargone in Madhya Pradesh. Reportedly, SP Siddharth and team had arrived to control the crowd during which the accused shot the inspector in the leg. Since then, Mohsian alias Waseem has been absconding. The Madhya Pradesh Police on April 21 announced a reward of Rs 10,000 each for information leading to the arrest of 106 miscreants wanted in connection with riots during Ram Navami celebrations in Khargone.
Stone pelting was reported from Khargone on the occasion of Ram Navami. Police forces were brought into action to control the situation. Several houses were ablaze and many more were arrested.
