Corona CG : Why Raipur under red whereas Surajpur lies in green zone; health minister T.S.Singh deo puzzled

Chhattisgarh: On Friday, Health Ministry released a list of designated red,orange and green zone in which Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur has been put under Red zone whereas the suspected covid19 epicenter “Surajpur district” has been kept in green zone.

After centre issued the list of containment zones to all the states chief secretaries, CM Bhupesh Baghel personally held a telephonic conversation with Union health minister Harsh vardhan, requested him to reconsider the decision of putting Raipur under red zone. Baghel also informed him that only one person from raipur is covid19 positive and that person is nursing staff of AIIMS, Raipur.

While talking to Lalluram.com, T.S. Singh deo, Health minister, has questioned centre decision of keeping Raipur in red zone without consulting the concerned state government. He too seemed puzzled about why surajpur was not considered in orange or red zone when there were 2 cases already registered from the district.

Meanwhile, On Friday evening, three more cases were registered from surajpur taking the total number of active cases to 7 in the state while the tally of the confirmed coronavirus cases reached to 43.
