Bhopal: Responding to speculations on the state govt’s decision to hold MBBS classes in Hindi, CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan at Chintin Shivir on Sunday said, “ We will start imparting education for medical courses in Hindi. It will benefit students from the poorer and middle classes background”, assuring the promise will be fulfilled.

Among the other announcements, the government’s flagship schemes Mukhyamantri Kalyan Vivah Yojana and Ladli Lakshmi Yojana were also relaunched. MKVY is scheduled to begin from April 21st while the latter scheme would begin from May 2. Under the revamped Kanya Vivah Yojana, the amount allocated to each bride has been increased from 51,000 to 55,000. The everyday household items will also be gifted to the bride under the scheme. After the deliberation with his Cabinet Minister, CM Chouhan announced that the state government will facilitate the Pilgrimage visit to Senior Citizens and the scheme will also be launched again.

The state has also decided to look into providing assistance for ‘Tirth Yatra’ for the elderly through flights. 

Apart from these, the MP cabinet has decided that 50 per cent weightage in police recruitment will be to the physical strength of the candidate along with written exams.
