New Delhi: In a ghastly situation in Chiraag Dilli, in the south of Delhi- the body of an infant girl was found in a microwave at home on Monday said, police officials.
The incident came to light after the mother-in-law and neighbours raised alarm after the mother- Dimple locked herself inside the house. According to eyewitnesses, the husband was at work. After seeing the lady lying unconscious inside neighbours broke into the house through the glass window and found the son with her and the infant in the microwave.
Reportedly, the police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the baby around 3:15 pm on Monday. Preliminary investigations hint mother is the prime suspect in the case who was upset over the birth of a girl child. Parents Gulshan Kaushik and Dimple Kaushik are being interrogated at the police station, said Benita Mary Jaiker Deputy Commissioner of Police ( South).
According to sources, the couple – parents to a four-year-old boy had issues after Ananya was born. A case of murder has been lodged against an unknown accused. The police are probing every angle to case delicately to catch hold of the inhumane murderer, sources said.
