Gariabandh: A couple was found dead in their home in a village near Gariaband, Chhattisgarh on Friday, a senior police official said. Vedprakash Patel (25) and his wife Bharti Patel (24) who was living in a hutment near their agriculture field in Bodrabandha village were apparently killed on Friday morning. The body of the husband was hanging on the noose while his wife’s body was lying in the bed. The matter is of the Chhura police station area.
On the day of Holi, everyone in the village was busy playing Holi. Vedprakash’s parents had gone to the farm in the morning. According to the information, when Vedprakash’s parents returned between 11 and 11.30 in the morning, they saw the bodies of both of them. They saw that the body of Vedprakash Patel was hanging in the ceiling fan of his room and his wife was lying in bed. After seeing the dead body, their relatives took both of them to the hospital. But the doctor declared both of them bought dead knowing this the family informed the police. The postmortem of both will be done on Saturday.
Here, the relatives told that Bharti was 9 months pregnant. She was telling her husband for the last few days that she has to go to her maternal home. The wife said that she was going to have a son first whom she wants to give birth in her maternal home. But Vedprakash was annoyed by this. He did not want to send Bharti to his maternal home. Because of this, there used to be a fight between the two.
The family has expressed apprehension that such a fight would have taken place on the day of Holi as well. Due to which this incident has happened. At the same time, the police say that something can be said only after the PM report comes. At present, the police are investigating the matter.
