The second Test between SL and India scheduled for 12th March at Bangalore could witness a heavy crowd in the stands after the Karnataka State Cricket Association on Thursday allowed 100 per cent crowd attendance for the match owing to a sharp decline in COVID-19 cases and high demand for tickets.
“KSCA is happy to inform that there has been very good response for viewership of the India vs Sri Lanka Day-Night Test cricket match being played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore from 12-16 March 2022.- the announcement read.”
“Considering the high volume of response and since there are no further restrictions for spectators, KSCA will be opening up sale of tickets for full capacity of the stadium,” KSCA treasurer Vinay Mruthyunjaya said in a statement.
As per sources in the know, the tickets for Grand Terrace would be the most expensive i.e Rs 1250, while E-Executive is sold for Rs 750. The D corporate is priced at Rs 500.
The first Test was held in Mohali, which also marked the the100th milestone for former captain Virat Kohli. A crowd occupancy of 50 per cent was allowed at the PCA. India declared their first innings for a mammoth total of 574 for 8 in the first innings. Sri Lankans found themselves in all sorts of trouble at stumps on Day 2 of the ongoing first Test at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. At stumps, Sri Lanka were 108/4, and trail India by 466 runs.
