Mahasumund: 3 bike riders died in a horrific accident on NH-53 when their motorcycle collided head-on with a trailer truck in Mahasumund. Only 2 of the dead have been identified.
This accident happened when a speeding bike hit the trailer. The victims were returning home on the motorbike when the two-wheeler collided with the trailer. The deceased, identified as Rohit Rathiya (30), his younger brother Santram (27) and other unidentified person were killed on the spot.
As per sources, on Tuesday night, all the 3 bike riders were going to Patwa by bike. Then the bike collided with the trailer near Torla Padav. A case has been registered against the absconding truck driver, they said, adding that further investigation is on.
