New Delhi: India recorded 30,757 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.03 per cent accounted for 67,538 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,19,10,984. The daily positivity rate stood at 2.61 per cent.
The number of active cases stood at 3,32,918 accounting for 0.78 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a drop of 37,322 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.19 per cent recorded 541 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,10,413.
Thane has reported 138 new cases of coronavirus, raising the infection count in the Maharashtra district to 7,07,563, while three more fatalities pushed the death toll to 11,855, an official said on Thursday.
Tourist state Goa joined the list of fully vaccinated states on Wednesday. The state administered both doses of anti-Covid vaccines to its entire eligible population of 11.66 lakh, a health official informed. The state Directorate of Health Services has said it’ll shut down all its Covid-19 vaccination centres and club them into the normal immunisation programme.
With the administration of 34.75 lakh Doses (34,75,951) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 174.24 cr (1,74, 24,26,288) according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
