Raipur: An eight-year-old girl was raped by her six minor cousins and their friends for over two months repeatedly. The accused are aged between six and 13 years. All the cousins belong to a joint family in Ambikapur district. An FIR has been registered against the seven boys under POSCO Act and IPC. They will soon be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
Apparently, the horrific crime occurred as the boys were fueled by watching porn sessions on a smartphone in the guise of online studies. The police officials confirmed that after raping the girl multiple times, her cousins roped in one of their friends too. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused boys accessed the sites on their own and no one in their family realized the boys were watching porn.
“It appears the cousins playfully persuaded the girl into the act and began raping her. They also involved one of their friends and the sexual abuse took place when the other members were busy with chores. It’s normal for children of a house to play together, so no one suspected anything”, said the police officer investigating the case.
The horror went unnoticed until the girl started having intense abdominal pain and her parents decided to take her to the doctor. Chhattisgarh Police has recovered several porn videos on the smartphones that were given to the kids for online studies.
