New Delhi: As per sources from the govt of India it has been informed that AIMIM chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi has been provided with Z category security of CRPF.
The Z category security consists of 22 personnel including four to six NSG commandos and Police personnel. It is provided by the Delhi police or ITBP or the CRPF personnel along with one escort car.
According to the statement given by Deepak Bhuker, Harpur SP, 2 accused have been arrested for the firing on AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s convoy while he was returning to Delhi after campaigning at Harpur. Police have also recovered the arms the accused used in the attack. No one was injured in the incident. However, Mr Owaisi urged the EC an independent probe. “I want to tell the EC that there is definitely some mastermind behind this attack. A few days ago, at a Dharam Sansad in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, there was talk of taking my life. This is on record, it should be seen,” he said.
As per the primary interrogation, it has been revealed that the attack was carried out upon being hurt by Owaisi’s Anti-Hindu statements. They will be produced before the court, said ADG Prashant Kumar.
