A day before the trailer launch, Ajay Devgn shared his first look from the film on Instagram. The much anticipated Gangubai Kathiawadi is all set to open in cinemas on 25th February.

Alia Bhatt who plays the lead role also took to Instagram sharing the poster with the release date.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime drama helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Jayantilal Gada. The movie draws inspiration from Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Alia Bhatt plays the role of a woman named Ganga, who becomes a madame Gangubai, in the red light area of Kamathipura in the 1960s. The story shows how she rose to power, battling myriad challenges.
The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has been chosen to be screened as part of Berlinale Special, a segment of the film festival which is dedicated to showcasing exemplary cinema. Speaking about the film’s selection at Berlin Film Festival, SLB said, “The story of Gangubai Kathiawadi has been very close to my heart and me and my team have given it all to make this dream possible. We take pride and honour in showcasing our film at the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival
