Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the Indian Army; its veterans, soldiers, and their families, on the occasion of 74th Army Day. The prime minister lauded the forces for their “bravery and professionalism”.

President Ramnath Kovind also took to twitter to greet the Army personnel on the occasion. “The nation is grateful for your service. Jai Hind!”, tweeted the Indian President.

The chiefs of the tri-services, General Naravane (Army), Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudheri (Air Force), and Admiral R Hari Kumar (Navy) paid tributes at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also wished the soldiers, Army personnel, and all the citizens on the occasion of Army Day.

This day is celebrated annually to honor the soldiers of the Indian Army. This year, due to the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Army Day will be celebrated amidst stringent protocols. Jawans display their war skills during the Army Day Parade held at the Army Parade Ground in New Delhi today.
