Raipur: State authorities have selected Shaurya Pratap Chandrakar from Dhamtari and Aman Jyoti Jahire from Korba for Gallantry Awards Chhattisgarh State Child Welfare Council.Governor Anusuiya Uikey will conferr the award to the selected candidates at a function scheduled on the ocassion of Republic day on January 26th. The candidates will also be rewarded with a cash of Rs15,000, a citation and a silver medal.
Well the candidates are being awarded for their courageous act on August 1 last year at a waterfall at the Parasakhela Dam, Korba where Aman Jyoti Jahire saved his fellow friend Ashish Thakur from drowning.Another awardee Pratap Chandrakar is being awarded for his courageous act on June 13, 2021 where he saved a massive fire accident in village Senchuva, District- Dhamtari.
