Bilaspur: With more than 100 positive cases detected on Tuesday, Section 144 has been implemented in the district under the prohibitory order. While going out in public places, the mask has been made mandatory, face cover, physical distancing others are important too. District level control room has been set up to help the people. Namrata Gandhi, Collector and District Magistrate of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, at present has implemented a prohibitory order in the district keeping in mind the increasing pace of infection of Covid-19 and the new variant Omicron.
The Collector, in the exercise of the powers conferred under Section 144 Epidemic Act-1897 and Disaster Management Act 2005 under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, organized any kind of socio-religious event, rally, and tourist place under the revenue limit of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district. Restrictions have been imposed on large events related to sports etc. and gatherings of public community at one place. In the prohibitory order, it has been said that a maximum of 100 persons will be allowed to participate in the marriage ceremony and a maximum of 50 persons will be allowed in the funeral ceremony. For this, it will be necessary to get permission from the concerned sub-divisional magistrate. Under the district, all wholesale shops, gyms, hotels, restaurants, swimming pools, auditoriums, marriage halls and other venues will be operated with one-third capacity till further orders.
Citizens coming from abroad will necessarily give information about their arrival to the nearest health centre, district control room and concerned sub-divisional magistrate and it will be mandatory to follow the Covid rules laid down by the state health department in this regard. All the departments of the district should not organize unnecessary meetings till further orders, if absolutely necessary, following the limited number of Covid protocols or organizing meetings through video conference. It will be mandatory for all the passengers travelling by rail in the district to have an RTPCR negative report within 72 hours of travel. Strict action will be taken as per section 188 of Indian Penal Procedure Code 1860 and section 51-60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 and other relevant laws.
