MP: Six more foreign passengers received a positive RT-PCR report on being screened at the Indore Airport in MP. This took the total count of such foreign returnees to 12 in the city since December 1. Chief Medical Health Officer Dr Bhure Singh confirmed the detection on Monday.
According to the health dept, amongst the six-two passengers were from Tanzania, two from the USA, one from UAE and Ghana. While the passengers have been immediately put under isolation, the genome sequencing reports are yet to be received.
In the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin reported 20 new cases, while the active count at 183. According to the documentation with the state health dept, 17 recuperations have been reported in MP in a single day taking the total recuperations to 7,82,796. Roughly 10,530 fatalities are reported so far.
Aiming to achieve 100 per cent vaccination of its eligible population, so far 9,86,80,950 people have been immunized by the state. Out of these 5,18,97,708 have received the first dose while 4,67,83,242 have been fully vaccinated.
