Mumbai: Hearing the plea for anticipatory bail, the Supreme Court on Wednesday granted Raj Kundra four weeks’ protection from arrest in connection with the allegations of shooting and streaming pornographic content. As a reinforcement the apex court also forwarded the notice to the Maharashtra Govt.Mumbai based bussinessman and husband to actress Shilpa Shetty, Kundra had moved Bombay High court for anticipatory bail which it rejected on November 25th.His petition stated that the videos, although erotic in nature, did do not actually show any physical or sexual activity. He further asserted thag he had not been involved in the making or broadcasting of such videos; he claimed to have been wrongly implicated in the case.The Mumbai Crime branch in July had arrested Raj Kundra after allegations of producing and distributing porn content via a mobile app called Hotshots. After being subjected to several interrogations, Kundra was finally granted bail in September. Under the shadow of Kundra case, several illicit activities involving a score of renowned personalities surfaced.
