Aurangabad: A 19-year-old pregnant girl was beheaded by his brother on Sunday in Goyagaon village in Vaijapur tehsil, Aurangabad Maharashtra. Reportedly the Kirti Mote had eloped in June this year and had been living with her husband.
According to sources, the 38-year-old accused mother Shobha S Mote and 18-year-old brother Sanket S Mote allegedly dragged the head of the victim after killing her and displayed it to the neighbouring women. Sources cited the police as saying, the woman killed the daughter because she married without their consent. The husband of the victim eloped after the incident under the fear of being targeted by the duo.
The Goygaon Police Patil (PP) Suryakant R. Mote who is part of the probe team, said preliminary investigations indicate a case of ‘honour killing’. It is revealed that the mother and the brother of the girl had come to the victims’ house on the pretext of reconciling with her. However, a ruthless murder took place due to the temper of a mother. The accused later confessed their crime and surrendered to the police, sources informed.
