Chhattisgarh: Three more people, including 2 women and one man, tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday in Korba district of Chhattisgarh, taking the number of such cases in the state to 36, officials said. All three cases were reported from Katghora town and they all are part of one family only.

Katghora has emerged as the top COVID-19 “hotspot” in the state. The town, located around 200 km from the state capital Raipur, accounts for 28 of the 36 infections detected so far in the state.

All the three people including 2 woman, are from the ward no. 11 of the town tested positive for coronavirus, AIIMS Raipur has verified this news.
They are being shifted to AIIMS Raipur for treatment, officials informed.

Recently 6 patients are being discharged from the hospital after their report came negative, but once again the figure has increased due to 3 new cases coming from Katghora.

So far, maximum 28 patients have been found from Korba district. of which 27 are found from Katghora. The state capital, Raipur stands at number 2 where 5 patients were found positive, however all are hearty and healed. Apart from this, 1 patient have been found from Durg, Bilaspur and Rajnandgaon each,who were also successfully cured and discharged.

In the state, currently the cases are looming from Katghora town of Korba district. Significantly, the corona has spread throughout the area from the youth who returned from Delhi Markaz after attending Tabligi Jamaat event.
