As the much-anticipated film ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ approaches its release date, worldwide star Priyanka Chopra has unveiled the film’s first look poster. The star took to Instagram to reveal a poster of her new look, which features her hair braided and knotted up with her wearing a blue corset jacket with loose-fitting bottoms and high heels.
The caption was written by her: “And she’s here. Re-enter #TheMatrix 12.22.21.” Several social media users, including friends and colleagues from Bollywood, left supportive messages. “Boom,” wrote filmmaker Zoya Akhtar. Fire emoticons were released by Patralekhaa and Pulkit Samrat.
The trailer for the next film was released on September 9, providing fans with a much-needed taste of the highly awaited sci-fi blockbuster. The ensemble was reunited 18 years after the third film, with Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Daniel Bernhardt, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Jada Pinkett Smith, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff, and Jessica Henwick among the returning stars.
Mateen’s character was shown in the teaser for ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ handing Neo (Reeves) the fabled red pill and assisting him in fighting several assailants. The original Matrix franchise was notorious for its mind-bending vision of reality, which is still a point of contention among cinephiles, and it appears like ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ will take that discussion even farther. The fourth film in the ‘The Matrix’ franchise, produced by Village Roadshow Pictures and Venus Castina Productions, will be released in theatres and on HBO Max on December 22, 2021.
