Raipur: On Sunday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the killing of 26 Naxals in the Gadchiroli encounter will have an impact on the Naxal movement and will help contain it. “Naxalites’ top leaders are either being arrested or being killed. Previously, a powerful Naxalite leader was apprehended in Jharkhand. 26 Naxals, including a Naxalite leader, were slain at Gadchiroli, on the border of Chhattisgarh. This will have an impact on the Naxal movement, and we will be able to subdue the Naxalites very soon,” Baghel further added.

According to Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, top Maoist commander Milind Teltumbde with Rs 50 lakh bounty on his head was among the 26 Naxals slain in an encounter with police in the woods of Gyarapatti in Gadchiroli district on Saturday.
