Raipur: Members of the Chhattisgarh Government Committee Employees Union have been staging a protest presenting a five point demand list ahead of the states paddy procurement program from December first. The members call to boycott paddy procurement if demands not met.

The president of the union submitted a memorandum to the higher authorities illustrating the demands.

The demands amongst the few of them included issuance of extra expenses to the committee in the advent of the delayed paddy procurement.

It addressed release of arrears to the employees of the committee with the seventh pay scale. The committee also demanded a ban on the placement based on the service rules and urged that the managers of the society should be posted as credar managers.

The memorandum demanded an immediate implementation of the demands.

This year the Chhattisgarh government has targeted to procure 1.05 crore tonnes of paddy, which is almost double the average paddy procured in 15 years of BJP rule.
