Raipur: Fortune Metallic Factory, Kapasada in Tilda area that adjoins Raipur witnessed a major accident when the furnace of the factory exploded last night. Two workers who were working there died a painful death as the melting iron in the furnace had fallen on them.
Sources reveal that the accident took place after midnight in the industrial area. Electrician Kapil Kumar (48) and his helper Bhupendra Patel (28) were working there as the molten iron flowed out. Both the workers died on the spot and some other laborers also got hit by the accident. There is no official statement issued by the factory management.
Such accidents are not new in Chhattisgarh. Last year 10 workers were scorched in Indian Steel Company, a steel factory located in Raipur due to the fall of the hot iron tank as the crane strap broke. Usually, such accidents take place due to the negligence of the company’s management. However, facts are yet to be discovered for Fortune Metallic Factory.
