Despite a big defeat to Pakistan in a T20 World Cup Super 12 match on Sunday, captain Kohli showed the “Spirit of Cricket” as he interacted with the opposition players after the match.

Attending a post match press conference Kohli was taken aback by a question hurled by journalist inquiring about Rohit Sharma to be replaced by Ishan Kishan.To this Kohli reacted saying, “It’s a very brave question. What do you think, sir? I played the team that I thought was the best.” Counter questiong the journalist, he further said, “I am just asking you? Will you drop Rohit Sharma from T20 internationals? You will drop Rohit Sharma? If you want controversy, please tell me before so that I can answer accordingly. Unbelievable”.

Praising the young fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, Kohli reiterated how the pakistani pacer rocked the Indian top-order by getting the wickets of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and later the captain himself in his second spell.

Pakistan scripted their biggest T20 International win, slaying men in blue by 10 wickets in their opening T20 World Cup match. Kishan registered a knock of 70 runs off 46 balls during India’s warm-up match against England but didn’t feature in the playing XI for Sunday’s Super 12 fixture.

The Sunday clash chased 152 runs from Babar Azam’s team which struck them victory. Pakistan reached 152 for no loss in 17.5 overs defeating India. Despite winning the toss and intercepting shots, India failed to captivate the oppositions reach. India posted 151 for seven in 20 overs with Kohli registering 57 off 49 balls. Rishabh Pant showcased a notable contribution striking a knock of 39 in 30 deliveries.
