Mumbai: Maharashtra minister Nawaab Mallik continued his diatribe against the anti-drugs agency NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) on Saturday following the arrest of Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan on October 2nd. This time, the minister has raised the question of Sameer Wankhede, the case’s lead investigator.

Alleging the NCB officer Malik posted other images and said that the NCB officials select their acquaintances as witnesses in some cases. “Fletcher Patel is shown in this photo with Jasmin Wankhede, sister of NCB official Sameer Wankhede. He went on to say that Mr Patel and the NCB officer were quite familiar with each other.

He tweeted and wrote, “This is Fletcher Patel”.  “The question is that how can NCB officers make their acquaintances a witness in their case,” he further asked.

Earlier, the Maharashtra minister posted a video showing the NCB releasing 3 persons following raids on a luxury cruise. “NCB’s Sameer Wankhede stated that 8-10 persons (including Aryan Khan) were apprehended following the cruise operation. However, the truth is that 11 persons were taken into custody. “3 persons were later released: Rishabh Sachdeva, Prateek Gaba, and Amir Furniturewala,” he was reported saying. He also urged that the case must be investigated independently. “The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Mumbai Police should undertake an impartial probe into this,” he remarked.
