Jammu and Kashmir: Security forces killed 2 terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora and Anantnag on Sunday night. In Shahgund Bandipora, he was involved in the recent civilian slaughter. He was associated with The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow organization of Pakistan’s Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Another terrorist was slain by security personnel in Anantnag. Security personnel conducted a cordon and search operation at Khagund in Anantnag, according to police, after receiving information regarding the presence of terrorists there. According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police security personnel had received specific information regarding the presence of terrorists in the vicinity. Terrorists opened fire on security officers, prompting reaction, turning the search into an encounter. One terrorist was killed while a policeman suffered injuries.
