Chhattisgarh: Amid Corona Virus pandemic, Chhattisgarh Government is taking all the measures to ensure the livelihood is not being compromised especially for labor class. According to the sources, an amount of Rs. 3 crore 80 lakh has been released by the labour department of the state government to assist the distressed and needy labourers after CM bhupesh baghel intervened.
This amount has been released by Chhattisgarh Bhawan and other construction workers welfare board to all districts of the state.
In the wake of Novel Corona Virus, this measure is essential to ensure the immediate assistance to the distressed and needy registered workers of Chhattisgarh Bhawan and other construction workers welfare board for their food, temporary lodging, medical, transport, accident etc. By this amount, the government will be able to facilitate them as per requirements.
The segregation of the amount released by the board is such as:
Rs 20 lakh has been released to the Assistant Labor Commissioner of Raipur, Balodabazar, Bilaspur, Mahasamund, Korba, Janjgir-Champa, Raigad, Bastar, Surguja, Durg and Rajnandgaon. Similarly, an amount of Rs 10 lakh has been released to the labour officials of Gariaband, Dhamtari, Mungeli, Kondagaon, Kanker, Dantewada, Sukma, Narayanpur, Bijapur, Surajpur, Balrampur, Korea, Jashpur, Balod, Bemetra and Kawardha.
