Chhattisgarh: On Thursday Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and MoS Dr Bharat Pravin Paar virtually inaugurated an event to commemorate the third anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).  Titled Arogya Manthan 3.0 the event is also observed as the Ayushman Bharat Diwas.

Chhattisgarh during this virtual event was felicitated with 4 awards for outstanding performance in Swasthya Sahayata Yojana. The National Health Ministry of India had announced awards in 6 categories based on which states were scored.  As per the information given in by the Chhattisgarh administration the state had recorded the highest number of applications for Ayushman Cards from across the nation.  The Arogya Manthan 3.0 panel awarded the state with the (CHOiCE) Chhattisgarh Online Information System for Citizen Empowerment centre award.  The hosts of the event acclaimed CM Baghel and Health Minister TS Singh Deo’s efforts in establishing an outstanding health system.

Officials report that Chhattisgarh has surpassed all the states across the country in recording landmark registrations.  Within the state CHOiCE centre at Bhainyathan Vikaskhand Kusmusa village, Surajpur has been recognized to record the maximum number of applications under the scheme. Reportedly the state has successfully treated 3.20 Lakh women under the scheme at the Dr Khurchand Baghel Govt hospital.
