Chhattisgarh: Amidst the political remarks issued by the opposition over the rising number of religious conversions in the state, CM Baghel took the forefront and issued a befitting reply to the opposition.

Addressing reporters, he said, “BJP doesn’t have issues like farmers’ issues, cows or tribals anymore. They are left only with issues of religious conversion. I had said that the highest number of churches were constructed during the tenure of the BJP govt.”  Highlighting the number of churches built during the BJP era, CM Baghel issued a sarcastic statement against the opposition. He said, “It means that most of the religious conversions were done during their tenure. I am still saying that we will definitely take action if we receive a complaint of forced religious conversion,” he further added.

Earlier today, BJP leaders today staged a protest under the leadership of State President Vishnudev Sai at Azad Chowk and submitted a memorandum to Governor Anusiya Uikey. Former Minister Brijmohan Agarwal on Friday had lodged a complaint of conversion in Bhathagaon. A clash between the priest and the BJP members was witnessed in the police station following which the BJP party took down to a protest.
