The status of Dengue turns fatal in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur city as 3 deaths have been reported so far in the last 20 days. What concerns more is that out of the 375 total dengue cases reported in the state, Raipur alone bears 313 cases. With a recent death of a 43-year-old woman in Raipur, the situation intensifies more. Previously a 13-year-old girl and a youth also lost their lives after being affected by dengue.

The 43-year-old woman, Dimple Agarwal who died recently was admitted to a private hospital after being diagnosed with dengue on Aug 19. She was a resident of the Samta colony and was admitted to the hospital with a high fever. Her blood platelets kept falling day by day and she succumbed to the disease soon after.

The state health minister TS Singh Deo said he will run a campaign soon to get rid of mosquito larvae in the entire region as dengue turns fatal in the state. He has also urged people to cooperate in the campaign and prevent waterlogging in nearby places. Meanwhile, the political crisis between Singh Deo and CM Baghel has also intensified in the state.
