Madhya Pradesh: State reports a striking surge in Dengue cases. In the last 30 days, Jabalpur district recorded 151 cases an official said on Thursday.

Seth Govind Das District hospital spokesperson, Ajay Kureel informed that no deaths were reported due to the vector-borne disease, as per the statistics issued by the government hospitals. Private establishments have been directed to furnish information in writing.

In the meantime, state financial capital Indore also reported a surge recording 5 new cases in the past 24 hours. Ahirkedi, Bhavarkuan, New Dwarkapuri, Barfani Dham areas of the city detected the infections taking the city’s tally to 50.

Taking Suo Motu cognizance about the current situation of the outbreak, the state Human Rights Commission on Monday, sought a reply from the Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary(health services) about the steps taken by the state to tackle the spread.
