Bollywood: Akshay Kumar is known for his amicable roles in thrillers. But during the pandemic the Bollywood movie industry suffered a lot and most films were halted for a release. Now that the restrictions are eased a little and moat states are allowing 50 percent occupancy in the cinema halls, the producers are releasing their movies on theatres and not on OTT platforms.

The recent in line is Akshay Kumar-Vaani Kapoor starrer bell bottom movie which is based on a true story of hijacking an Indian airlines plane back in 1984. The movie also sees Lara Dutta in the role of Indira Gandhi with a makeover that does justice to her role.

Though Akshay is optimistic about the content of the movie, he is still in second thoughts about the business it is going to make. Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood said, “The pressure is that Maharashtra is still closed and 30 percent of the money comes from Maharashtra. And because only 50 per cent occupancy is allowed so half of the rest of the 70 per cent share is also gone. But we have to take a risk. I am keeping my fingers crossed”. Meanwhile, Akki’s better half ace writer Twinkle Khanna revealed that she enjoyed watching the movie and all movie lovers must watch it.

The look of Lara Dutta has been in the talks since the trailer of the movie dropped. Her makeover as the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi has earned her immense applause from all sections of the society. Her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi also praised her for the outstanding portrayal of the character. The movie also stars Jacky Bhagnani, Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles.
