Bhopal: CM Shivraj Singh today inaugurated the Balaghat Investor Meet 2021 from his residence office virtually. Taking stock of the resources in the district, he has announced to score the employment opportunities in the district. He claimed to create an “unemployment free” district. The state government will invest about 4,000 crore rupees to provide employment to 7,000-0,000 people, he said.

The Shivraj administration has pledged to provide incentive assistance for setting up 70 industries in the district. An additional grant of 25 per cent is initiated along with the already existing 50 per cent given on land allotment. A discount on the electricity consumption rates is also declared. Along with it, the validity of the PUC certificates for the vehicles has increased from 2 to 5 years now.

The CM also launched a new paddy procurement policy that would direct procurement at MSP. He underscored the major employment opportunities at the Kanha National Park, several other resorts and mineral-based industries.

The Summit had also organized seminars on setting up of manganese-based industries, new rice mills and workshops on bamboo industry and tourism development. Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Sanjay Shukla attended the summit from the Chief Minister’s residence.
