New Delhi: India recorded 44,643 fresh infections in the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry reported. The recovery rate at 97.36 percent accounted for 41,096 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,10,15,844. The daily positivity rate stood at 2.72 per cent, less than 3 per cent for the last 11 days.
The active caseload stands at 4,14,159 accounting for 1.30 per cent of the total number of cases. 3,083 active cases were reported in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.34 per cent reported 464 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,26,754.
