Mumbai: Magistrate’s court in Mumbai on Friday has extended the police custody of businessman Raj Kundra till July 27 in Pornography case. Kundra, who is also the husband of actor Shilpa Shetty has been booked by the Mumbai Crime Branch under Sections 420 (cheating), 292 and 293 (related to obscence and indecent advertisements and displays), 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with relevant sections of Information Technology Act and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act.
Sources reveal that Mumbai Police suspects that the money earned from pornography was actually used in online betting. While presenting Kundra in the Mumbai Court, Mumbai Police emphasised that there is a need to investigate the transactions between his Yes Bank account and United Bank of Africa.
Further, the Mumbai Police made shocking revelations about Kundra. His Whatsapp conversations have revealed an international deal about selling 121 videos for USD 1.2 million. A team of Mumbai Police Crime Branch has now reached the residence of actor Shilpa Shetty along with the accused in custody to find more evidence.
