In a recent media interaction Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that a U.S. effort to open dialogue with Iran was a positive step. He revealed that the country studied a letter sent by U.S. President J.D. Vance in high-level meetings.

“The American side’s attempt to open the door to dialogue and understanding more broadly is a positive step, he said”.

However, warned if Washington’s goal in sending this letter was to stir up discord, it would be yet another mistake to add to its previous ones.

He further noted, “We do not rule out any possibility of war breaking out, and we are prepared for all scenarios.” He cautioned that “if Washington’s goal in sending the message from Vance is to sow discord, it would be yet another mistake to add to their previous ones.”

Dismissing reports circulated on media speculation, he also revealed as of now there were no plans for meeting with the US official.

“We see no need to meet with the Americans at present. Our conditions are clear, and mediators are continuing their consultations regarding them,” he said.

His remarks came concurrently as an Iranian delegation headed to Qatar to continue the talks with mediators.

Giving a positive stance on the development or on the development, Aragchi says, the talks with Qatari mediators resulted in easing of the restrictions on the strategic waterways.

“The Qatari side proposed shortening the implementation period of the Iranian proposal to five days. We have reached a proposal at this stage that reduces the implementation period to two days.

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned the U.S. and Israel on Saturday against restarting the war amid weeks of heightened tensions and threats on both sides. He said there would be no geographical limitations for Iranian attacks if the war resumes.

“If the enemies once again launch military or terrorist attacks, it is the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation that will determine the time and conditions for ending them,” said a statement attributed to Khamenei posted on his Telegram channel.
