A central activist and President of All India Students’ Association (AISA) Neha Bora has pledged to be aligned with the arguments being put forth by the INDIA bloc in its scheduled protest against the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) for alleged irregularities in the voter revision process.

The protest will be held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on November 1, to which party leaders, party workers, activists and citizens are expected to join in the protest.

Regretting this issue, Bora requested that Special Intensive Revision (SIR) be stopped completely and the withdrawal of the upcoming 2023 law in a video statement shared through her social media.

These demands will culminate in a movement at Ramlila Maidan that will ask citizens to join the movement, she said.

Appeal to Protect Voting Rights

Bora had urged people to attend the rally all over the country, highlighting the need to universally defend voting rights and democratic principles.

She invited citizens to come to the venue on November 1 to voice their complaints about electoral roll revision.

INDIA Bloc Plans Mega Rally

The INDIA block has asked for a “mega rally” on the issue of “vote theft” that opposition groups say is being committed by the government. The alliance is demanding the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar on the grounds of irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

The opposition is concerned with the revision of voter lists, the process that the electoral process would go through and its impact on electoral participation and voting rights.

Members of opposition parties, as well as activists and the general public from various parts of the country are expected to gather at the demonstration on November 1.

With Boris’s backing, the voice of a student activist group has been incorporated into the opposition’s campaign, and the INDIA opposition bloc is to strengthen its own faces to propagate in the elections in line with its demands.
