The production crew of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part One has reiterated that the eagerly awaited film will hit theaters globally on November 5, 2026, in all premium theaters. The announcement, made via Instagram on Sunday, October 11, puts an end to the speculations regarding the film’s release date.

During the onset of Navratri, the makers of the post shared a new poster with the lead cast and called it the new beginning for the show. It also stated that bookings will be opened on Dussehra for bookings prior to the event.

The film’s worldwide release date was on the list of the international trailer shown by Sony Pictures; but that date had been unclear for some time. It was earlier revealed that the movie was supposed to be released in India during the holiday season of Diwali, with producer Namit Malhotra saying so. There were also reports that it would be released theatrically November 5; paid previews were reportedly possibly November 4.

The updated press release now indicates that November 5 is the global release date and outlines a definite timeline for advance sales.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, and produced by Namit Malhotra, the movie Ranayana: Part One stars Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hannuman (Hanuman) and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.

The film is reportedly being produced by Prime Focus Studios, in collaboration with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations from Yash. The project features as one of the bigger movies to come in Indian cinema, and is part of an eventual two-part adaptation of the epic for the cinema.

The cast of the film seems happy about the fact that the date is now official and the advance bookings have also started in which Dussehra is ahead of the global theatrical release in November.
