The Centre has made a significant upheaval in the endorsement system with senior bureaucracy reshuffle where Deputy Election Commissioner Prakash Rajpurohit has been appointed.

Prakash Rajpurohit, who is a 2010 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) batch officer of the Rajasthan cadre, will continue to hold the post till April 8, 2030, according to an order issued by the Personnel Ministry on Saturday. He is replacing Sanjay Kumar.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has also given approval to various appointments in sundry ministries and government bodies.

Vivek Khare, an 1996-batch Indian Telecom Service officer have been appointed Joint Secretary at the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed four joint secretaries Ravi Shankar, Chittaranjan Dash, P Manoj Kumar and Abhishek Bhagotia. Along with the same role, Mohammed Y Safirulla K and Ritu Sharma will be appointed to the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

Varnali Deka, a 2009 batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre has been appointed Joint Secretary in NHA. Ashish Madhaorao will be Additional Chief Executive Officer at the authority at joint secretary level.

Among others, Nikhil Varma, Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Delhi; Tanvi Sundriyal, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and Inderjeet Singh, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture have been added to the list of appointements.

Tamboli Ayyaj Fakirbhai has been appointed the Executive Director at the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India and Rajesh Malik has been appointed Executive Director at the Food Corporation of India. Navin Agarwal has been appointed as Joint Secretary in Department of Legal Affairs.

The reshuffle also involves Brijesh Pandey as Joint Secretary in the Department of Capital Development in the Government of India as well as M Ramachandrudu and Sonia Pant as Joint Secretaries in the Ministry of Minority Affairs and NITI Aayog, respectively.

The appointments are part of the Centre’s administrative reforms in ministries and government institutions.
