Vrindavan: The families have been relieved after the recovery of two missing teenagers from the Keli Kunj Ashram of Premanand Govind Sharan in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, in different locations.
Resident of Kasganj mayank chauhan was traced to the area of Daragunj, Prayagraj and police reportedly found him wearing the clothes of a monk. 17-year-old Anuj Chaudhary of Sadabad village in Hathras district was found in an ashram in Barsana.
Both the families of the teens were sitting outside Radha Keli Kunj Ashram after their disappearance. Later, the protest was canceled when the police promised the families that the boys are being traced.
Police had contacted Mayank’s father, Chandrapal Singh, about 1.30 am on Monday and told him that his son has been found in Prayagraj, he said. He was then video-chatted with Mayank and verified himself.
Mayank was dressed in white monk’s attire when he was picked up, Chandrapal said. He is also reputed to have been smeared with mud on his forehead and also wearing a necklace with the name of Radha on it.
Mayank’s family has travelled to Prayagraj to bring him back home. Currently police are cutting the proper documentation regarding his recovery.
At the same time, Anuj Chaudhary was picked up from Ladli Das Ashram at Barsana by the Hathras Police with the help of the Mathura Police. The missing teenage boy was reportedly not in his sight since July 3.
The family said that Anuj received ‘diksha’ from Premanand Maharaj. The Sadabad police is expected to hand him over to the court on Monday.
The rescue of both teens has put to an end the active search process, and police and families are likely to determine what happened to the teens before they were found and what they were doing at both of the places they were found.
